Annotation: States are prohibited from establishing taxes on imports from another state.

 

Citation and Text from the Constitution:

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3
(Congress shall have the power) To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

 

Article 1, Section 9, Clause 5
No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.

 

Article 1, Section 9, Clause 6
