Working with hypertext
The Web's functionality
exist in its hypertext characteristics. Hypertext allows users to move
from one resource to another. This technology is much like the page
turning technology that revolutionized public knowledge in the 16th
century. Hypertext extends page turning technology by providing users
with a more expansive set of reading options. In many ways the reader
becomes a co-creator with the author of the reading material. Hypertext
documents are easy to create using word processors. More information
about hypertext is available in this web site on the Using
hypertext to organize resources and present information
